Haro® - Rugs
After the war in 1945, Dresden housewives Lilo Otto and Ruth Wagner began weaving rag rugs from leftover fabric remnants – and the company Haro® Rugs was born. In 1967, Lilo's son Christian Otto and his partner Hellfried Neubert – both textile engineers – helped the growing weaving mill achieve a rapid rise to success.
Since 2003, the Haro® Rugs brand has enriched the Paulig company with its extraordinary design concept under the leadership of Oliver Neubert.
Without losing its independence in product design, marketing strategies, and distribution, Haro® Rugs and the Paulig carpet weaving mill enter into a mutually enriching relationship, amicably interwoven within the Paulig network.
Our principles: to process only raw materials of the very best quality, and to do so purely by hand. We are considered a trendsetter in product development, creating new structures with traditional weaving techniques, harmonious color schemes, and in design.

1967
Rise of the weaving mill under the leadership of Hellfried Neubert and Christian Otto.
1974
Haro starts with contract processing in Hungary.
1976
Founding of the production facility in Dominica as a joint project with Paulig Teppichweberei GmbH.
1986
Founding of the subsidiary „Co Designers“.
1988
Founding of the subsidiary Kelimal in Hungary.
1990
Construction of the second plant including a showroom and spinning mill in Pressig.
1996
Joint venture Haro/Paliwal in India.
2004
Takeover of Haro® Rugs by Paulig Teppichweberei GmbH under the leadership of Oliver Neubert.
2016
70th anniversary of the Haro® Rugs brand.

The Far Eastern architecture, designed to be modern and airy, radiates tranquility, allowing people to recharge and creativity to grow. The aesthetics of the light-flooded atmosphere, inspired by Japanese architecture, are truly inspiring with their harmonious proportions and integrated flora. An inspiration that is reflected in the diversity and beauty of our products.
The centerpiece of our 2,800-square-meter facility is the atrium garden, which can be viewed from all sides. An oasis with a trickling waterfall, a place for communication or for silence. Whatever feels right at the moment.
